The Problem I Had to Solve – Bearing Tool Set

n

I hate seeing precision equipment ruined by bad maintenance. For years, I watched skiers—and even some shops—hacking at bearings with screwdrivers or hammers. They would gouge the wheel hub, and suddenly, a perfectly good wheel would start to wobble. It wasn’t the bearing’s fault; it was the damaged seat.

n

We build our skis with tight tolerances for a reason. Stability relies on alignment. I realized we needed a mechanical solution that respects the equipment. This tool applies force evenly, straight in and straight out. No hammering, no prying, no destroyed wheels. It is the only way to treat your gear if you care about the ride quality.

Why This Bearing Tool Set is Essential

n

    n

  • Zero Impact Removal: Extracts bearings without touching the wheel hub, preventing the «wallowed out» loose fit that kills stability.
  • n

  • Perfect Alignment: Presses new bearings in strictly straight, ensuring the axle sits perfectly perpendicular for better tracking.
  • n

  • Universal Standard Fit: Made for standard 608 series bearings used in FF wheels and many other brands. It works with standard 6mm and 8mm axles.
  • n

  • Field Ready: Compact and mechanical. You can swap a gritty bearing in the parking lot before a session.
  • n

n

n

«The quality of the FF skis is unmatched. The feeling of skiing on snow is incredible, and the durability is top-notch.»

FAQ on Bearing Tool Set for Roller Skis

n

n

n

n

n

What bearings does this tool fit?

n

n

It is designed for the industry-standard 608 bearing size (22mm outer diameter), which is used in almost all adult roller ski wheels, including FF Skate and Classic models.

n

n

n

n

Will this work on non-FF skis?

n

n

Yes. As long as your wheels use standard 608 bearings and standard 6mm or 8mm axles, this tool is compatible. It is a universal upgrade for your toolbox.

n

n

n

n

Why can’t I just use a screwdriver?

n

n

Prying with a screwdriver damages the wheel hub (the plastic or alloy seat). Once that seat is scratched or widened, the bearing will never sit tight again, causing vibration and wandering wheels.

n

n

n

n

Is it difficult to use?

n

n

No. It uses a simple screw-press mechanism. You tighten the handle to pull the old bearing out, and reverse the process to press the new one in. It takes seconds per wheel.

n

n

n

n

Does it work for both Skate and Classic wheels?

n

n

Yes. While the wheels differ, the bearing housing size is generally identical (608 standard) for both disciplines.

n

n

n

n

What is included in the set?

n

n

The set includes the main press/puller body and the necessary adaptors to push the bearing through the hub without catching on the internal spacer.
